I know, could I have come up with a lamer title? Probably not...
So I am sitting here, in my basement and avoiding studying for my accounting midterm, which is on Monday. It's my last midterm of the semester.
Soooo, today's topic: Tips on procrastination
1) Apps on iPhone/iPod
I got this new game for my iPhone today called Virtual Villagers 2: The Lost Children. Basically, there are a bunch of people stranded on an island. You have to help them learn how to farm, build, heal, etc. And there are children, who are pretty much useless save for the fact they can collect rare items which give you tech points which in turn allow you to buy advanced technology for building, medicine, etc. It's also in "real-time" which means that even while the game is closed, your villagers continue about their business. I don't know if this sounds lame to you, but all day I have been watching my little villagers fish and climb trees for coconuts.
2) Significant Others
One of the many reasons why I love my boyfriend is his innate ability to distract me when I require distraction (I love you baby <3). Today, however, I asked him not to disturb me because I wanted to focus. Most days, thought, he is always there to send a dirty text message, show me a new comic on xkcd.com (which we both love - check it out if you haven't), or convince me to watch the newest episode of Dollhouse or Castle (both great shows).
This brings me to the mother of all procrastination devices:
3) Facebook
There is no better way to kill time than to log on to Facebook and check out pictures of that guy (or girl) you've been crushing on, or to creep out your prof's facebook and check out his farmville farm (I totally did that to my economics prof), or play addicting games like the above mentioned farmville, tetris or whatever new game Facebook has come up with to prevent you from doing anything productive in your day.
As an afterthought, I realized that blogging is also a great way to avoid that report you're supposed to file, that cupboard you've been meaning to fix or that dog you've been meaning to walk (just kidding - I love my puppy, Ice)

Baby Got Back
So it's been about six months. And I have proved, once again, that I am incapable of keeping a blog. I just always seem to forget to write in it. My boyfriend said that perhaps I should start again. We had an argument over this blog a while back. But I needn't get into that.
My life finally seems to be back on track. It's extremely busy, of course, but I think I prefer it this way anyway. I become terribly bored in the summers.
So what is new with me? Hmm...
Well, I have a fabulous boyfriend whom I love. Yay me! He's sweet and charming and a little bit goofy. Let's call him K. Oddly enough, my best guy friend's first initial is also K. But let's call him KD. Like the childhood treat. Which we all secretly still stash in our cupboards for those midnight cravings.
I was thinking that maybe this blog should take some sort of direction. Since so far, all it really does is look at my life, which, let's face it, isn't all that fab.
So how about we explore a different topic each day? (Or each time I blog...)
Today's topic: Leaving out information from significant other
Although I love K dearly, he does have a rather jealous side. He's jealous of my best friend KD, because of all the time we spend together. And he's jealous of my ex, S, because of the past that we shared.
Now, I hate hiding things from him, since there really is no point being in a relationship unless you can be totally and completely honest with a person (at least most of the time). So I haven't yet told him that my ex texted me yesterday and said he wanted to come visit me (we live in different cities now). I couldn't exactly say no (ok, well I totally could have), and I think it's because a part of me is still in love with him. He was my most serious relationship. So I haven't yet told K. S is coming in 10 days...
Readers, I am calling on you for help and guidance. What should I do?
Love, as always,
Aruzia

You Found Me When No One Else Was Looking
I found Otago :) He was gone away with the navy. I was starting to get worried. Luckily everything is fine.
My friend mentioned a book to me today titled Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. Apparently, the author has inserted sentences into Jane Austen's original manuscript which turn the characters into zombies and zombie killers. I don't know how you feel about this, but it sounds absolutely absurd to me. First of all, no one can write like Jane Austen. Therefore, it would be painfully obvious where sentences have been inserted. Secondly, to turn Elizabeth Bennett and dear Mr. Darcy into zombie killers is practically sacrilege. I will, however, buy the book, because I am hoping it will at least give me a good laugh.
I have an early meeting tomorrow go over an upcoming photo shoot for my company. Myself and another girl have to interview and prepare models for my boss and the marketing directors to look over. We're the preliminary screening process. It is, of course, fun for me because we get to be in the constant presence of male models. Even though I have a boyfriend, I still think I'm allowed to ogle them. Hehe.
One of my friends announced to me today that her fairly long-time boyfriend proposed and she accepted. I'm of course excited for her, but at the same time, I'm wary because she's fairly young; only 19. She's actually exactly one day younger than me. Her boyfriend is about 4 years older. I didn't say anything, of course, and offered my congratulations. We're going out to celebrate tomorrow night.
That's all for now. Oh and I wrote an extremely long email to Pamar yesterday and found out today that it never got sent. Nor did it get saved. So I have to rewrite it from scratch. I hate when that happens.

When I Lost You
It's Friday night. I just got home. Super tired. But I told myself I had to blog before sleeping.
I had an interesting conversation with Spirit tonight. I may have come off as slightly harsher than I intended but I felt that I really needed to get my point across. And I needed to let him know what I wanted because it's only fair.
I'm reading the third installment of the Mistress of the Art of Death series, Grave Goods by Ariana Franklin. So far it isn't as good as the first two. I'll keep you posted on how I like it.
I saw The Proposal finally. And I have to admit, it was quite good. I was surprised that I enjoyed it and laughed during it as much as I did. Sandra Bullock did a good job and Ryan Reynolds was irresistable as usual.
I'm finding it increasingly difficult to keep typing so I'm going to call it a night.
One last thing, I'm having a hard time getting ahold of Otago aka Mariner. So if you're reading this sweetie please send me an email or something.

Back in One Piece
I've been gone for a long time. I apologize. I sometimes forget to write here. I choose other methods to vent out my frustration and such. I'll try not to forget this summer.
I made a trip to China in May. It was fantastic. I met so many amazing people and enjoyed the cultural experience immensely. I might post up a separate post later with more details on my trip.
For now, let's say that I'm back. Hopefully for good. I know that I've said it before. But I really am going to try to make it work this time.

Always Love
Hey blog readers (ie Mariner :P)
I'm back! Yay! And I wasn't gone for as long as I had expected. Much has happened in my absence, however, I have started to blog my more personal life in another, slightly ruder blog. I think I will keep this one for my musings and anything that happens with regards to some of the characters I have mentioned in the past.
I haven't seen Mike in a long time. I miss him terribly. I think it's just our different schedules and the different hours we're online. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to send him any of the dirty emails I promised I would. Hmm. Maybe I should get on that.
So Obama is president! Thank god. I just realized how teeny-boppery this latest blog sounds. Well, put it away to too much coffee and lack of sex. Haha

Back Again
Once again I have been AWOL. I would apologize to my readers but I fear I have none. I was reminded of my duty to my blog by my good friend Mariner who happens to be comment on the blog. I had not given the URL to anybody and he found it by Googling me, of all things. I would like to thank him for bringing me back here.
Things have been extremely hectic lately. School has been very demanding and relationships and such have also been in some turmoil.
Unfortunately, I do not have much time to reflect on my life through my blog at the moment and I will promise I will be back. I'm just not sure when.
